Dear Fellow Citizens of Columbia County,
I am humbled by David Huguenin’s confidence in me. Ten years ago, David appointed me to the position of Associate Magistrate. I have been by Mr. Huguenin’s side as this county grew and as the Magistrate’s office developed. Together, we have heard thousands of cases and his influence, his advice, and his constant presence as a mentor has shaped many of the decisions that I have made as a magistrate judge. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all that he has taught me throughout my tenure. It goes without saying that he leaves a tremendous void to be filled.Columbia County is my home, and this is where my heart is. This is the place where I have chosen to raise my children, and I am committed to justly and fairly carrying out the law in order to 
continue to make this community a safe one for this generation and for generations to come. With the support of my family, Alice, Matt, and Jordan, as well as my parents, my extended family, my staff, and God’s blessings, I am confident that I can successfully carry out the role of Chief Magistrate. I intend to maintain the standards of excellence established under David Huguenin’s tenure and to promote the continued growth and effectiveness of the Magistrate’s office.
While David is ready to move on to the next stage of his life, I, too, am ready to move on to the next phase of mine. I am eager to assume the role of Chief Magistrate, and intend to make David proud. Therefore, I am announcing my candidacy for the position of Columbia County’s Chief Magistrate, and I look forward to serving the citizens of this fine community.
